Ghada Gabr, travel health pharmacist.
AbroadRx is the travel health practice of Ghada Gabr, a Nova Scotia pharmacist with twenty years in the profession and the ISTM Certificate in Travel Health. One focus: helping Halifax travellers leave informed, protected, and confident.
Ghada Gabr is a Nova Scotia pharmacist with more than twenty years in community pharmacy, chronic-disease care, and pharmacy leadership. She earned her pharmacy degree at Suez Canal University, completed a Master of Health Informatics at Dalhousie University, and has practised as a licensed pharmacist in Canada since 2003.
She holds the Certificate in Travel Health from the International Society of Travel Medicine, the credential that recognizes advanced training in travel medicine, alongside certifications in diabetes, obesity, and asthma education. Over her career she has owned and led several Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacies in the Halifax area, coached new pharmacy owners and managers, and supervised twenty internationally trained pharmacy graduates on their path to licensure.
Her work has been recognized with a place among Atlantic Business Magazine’s Top 25 Most Powerful Women in Atlantic Canada and as a Halifax Business Awards finalist for Business Leader of the Year. AbroadRx is where she brings all of it to a single focus: helping travellers leave Halifax informed, protected, and confident.

AbroadRx appointments take place at Cunard Pharmacy & Clinic, a pharmacist-owned clinic and community pharmacy inside The Cunard on the Halifax waterfront. Booking runs through the clinic’s Jane system, and vaccines are administered on site.
